Description
Pranayama and Meditation play an important role in bringing balance to the body and mind. This class offers common breathing techniques, suitable for complete beginners. Be aware that some breathing exercises should be avoided during pregnancy.
The first part starts with gentle stretching to create physical space for breathing, focusing more on the expansion to the chest, long inhalation and slow exhalation. Forceful breathing techniques are first introduced to clear the breathing channels. Coming to smooth and steady breathing, you will then be guided to different breathing techniques: Ujjayi breathing, Bhastrika, Kapalbhati, Bhramari, alternate nostril breathing; and slowly proceed to different breathing ratios.
The second part continues with meditation and mantra chanting. Learn to observe your own breathing and thoughts, you will progress with regular practice.
After the session, you will feel calm and rejuvenated, as well as gain a sense of being present.
