Description
This class features a yoga therapy sequence designed to help release tension, improve mobility, and build strength, so you can move freely in daily life. It also focuses on various lateral stretching and twisting poses to help improve spinal and digestive health.
Begin with alternate nostril breathing to calm the mind, and then gentle stretching poses for the neck, shoulders, spine, hip, and hamstrings to warm up the body. This is followed by forward bending poses with blocks under the feet, which help release tension in the hamstrings and calves. Conclude with a sequence of neck and shoulder stretches to help release upper body tension and ease mental stress.
You will learn to restore proper movement, ease tension, and build foundations for a healthy posture. You will also learn to relax the body and mind through breathing techniques designed to sooth the nerves.
