Description
Moola Matsyendrasana (Sage Matsyendra Pose) is a classic seated twisting pose. This pose stimulates the spinal nerves and massages the abdominal organs for better digestion.
Preparations for this pose include some gentle twisting poses, seated one leg half twisting.
To go into the pose, sit on the floor with the left leg folded inward. Bend the right knee and place the right foot out of the left knee. Inhale, lengthen the spine; and on exhale, twist the body to the right side and bring the left arm over the right knee. Left hand holding the left knee. Keep the spine straight, turn the torso to the right side and look back.
To modify the pose, the left leg can be extended forward.
