Inverted Firefly Pose is a wide-legged standing forward bend pose with hands binding at the back. This pose gives a good stretch to the back muscles. Compression on the navel stimulates the lower abdominal organs.
This pose requires flexibility of the shoulders, hips and hamstrings.
Preparations include standing swinging forward bend, spider pose, hip and back stretching poses.
Variations for the pose are Viparita Titibha Anjali Asana and Utthita Baddha Hastha Janu Sirsasana.
